example of speech

Good morning all…
First of all I would like to praise to our God for the health that is given to us. And thanks for the chance to be here to deliver my speech about “how to live your life without regrets”
Everyone has made poor choices or done something in their past that could be possibly be labeled as ‘regrettable’. But, think about it. The fact that you are now able to look back and realize that a mistake or misstep occurred means you have learned a valuable lesson. Mistakes are stepping stones to an evolving life. No need for you to sink into regret or despair – keep your chin up
I will tell you how to live your life without regrets.
First, acknowledge a mistake has been made. It’s easy to play the blame game, pointing fingers at someone else or circumstances as to why you have stumbled or why your life is difficult. Taking personal ownership that your past actions resulted in bringing about your current reality is the first step to moving past regrets and moving toward a brighter future.
Second, make amends. If your past actions or words have harmed another person, an apology may be tricky. Judge for yourself if an apology will help matters or only drudge up old wounds better left alone. But, definitely forgive yourself. Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes. If you feel badly about a past action you’ve taken that cannot be righted, forgive yourself, and let it go.
Third, do overs. Sometimes feelings of regret arise not from our past action, but from our non-actions. Have you ever regretted not taking a vacation, staying stuck in a dead-end job, not attending college… or whatever? It may be too late to reverse those decisions, but you still have options. New opportunities are available around every corner if you just open your heart and follow your dreams.
Fourth, be grateful. The most valuable lessons learned in life often come from the mistakes we make. It may take a walk down a dark alley to see clearly. Embrace your follies, feel gratitude for getting past the worst episodes and eventually finding your way along a less-cluttered path.
Fifth, be careful not to repeat the same mistake. Opportunity will surface only after you take responsibility for faulty actions taken and change your current and future behaviors accordingly.
Sixth, be watchful of future knee-jerk reactions. This is probably the toughest step, not reacting negatively to situations or the people who tend to push your buttons. We don’t always have control over the things life tosses in front of us, but we do control our reactions. Stay calm!
Seventh, looking deeper inside. Re-evaluate the direction your life is taking. Become aware of your future goals and desires. Setting clear intentions will help clear the path so that your life progresses with a freer heart and increased happiness. The best is yet to come! Believe it.
There are tips for you, 1. Remember, nobody is perfect. Including yourself ! 2. Forgiveness is golden. 3. Live for today. Yesterday was then.
I think that’s all. Thank you for listening, it’s a pleasure to speak and share with you.

A Dream within A Dream by by Anwar Fadzery

A Dream within A Dream :
Take this kiss upon the brow!

And, in parting from you now,

Thus much let me avow-

You are not wrong, who deem

That my days have been a dream;

Yet if hope has flown away

In a night, or in a day,

In a vision, or in none,

Is it therefore the less gone?

All that we see or seem

Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar

Of a surf-tormented shore,

And I hold within my hand

Grains of the golden sand-

How few! yet how they creep

Through my fingers to the deep,

While I weep- while I weep!

O God! can I not grasp

Them with a tighter clasp?

O God! can I not save

One from the pitiless wave?

Is all that we see or seem

But a dream within a dream?

Tips for Management Time for Collage Students

Tips for Management Time for Collage Students
Many students discover the need to develop or hone their time management skills when they arrive at college. Unlike high school where teachers frequently structured your assignments and classes filled your day. In college, Between going to class, doing the homework, taking the tests, perhaps holding down a job, raising a family—well, how's a mere mortal supposed to do all this stuff? It boils down to managing your time. But how are you supposed to do that?Take a look at these six quick tips for getting a grasp on the busy life of a working student.
1.             Read and Block your courses calendar
Sometimes the best advice is among the simplest: One of the first and most important steps in achieving successful time management in college is to read your course calendars carefully.
“[A course calendar] is your best friend,” says Matthew Schlager. If you know the due dates for specific assignments and the time frames for quizzes, papers and exams, you’ll be able to spread out the necessary school work.

2.             Make a Plan and Schedule
.
Write down everything in one place. Schedule when you plan to sleep, when you are going to do your laundry, when you're going to call your parentsThe crazier your schedule gets, the more important this becomes.
Do you have a large research paper due the last week of the semester? Work backward in your calendar and figure out how much time you need to write it, how much time you'll need to research it, and
how much time you'll need to pick your topic. If you think you'll need six weeks for the entire project, work backward from the due date and schedule the time into your calendar before it's too late.

3.             Make Checklists
Printing or writing out checklists for each class or each day of the week can be a helpfulway of remembering everything you need to get done. “You can check [each item] off after you’re done with it.

4.                Stay Organized
Keeping your school work organized can be a huge factor in saving you some time throughout the week, especially if you’re taking more than one class at a time. If you have separate binders, notebooks and folders for each class, you will quickly be able to find that sheet of notes you need for next week’s test or the printed article you planned to reference for your big research paper.
Avoiding clutter isn’t just important when organizing your notes and hand-outs. Be sure to keep your computer desktop organized in a way that always allows you to locate the files you’ll need for each particular class.

5.                Be Healty
This may seem like the kind of advice you heard from your mother and now pass down to your own kids in the form of warm socks in the winter, sunscreen in the summer and daily vitamins year-round, but it can actually play a huge role in successfully managing your time while in college.

Example of Narrative Text

Army of Elephants

The following incident is mentioned in Surah Feel of the Holy Quran and it happened during the period of the birth-year of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Abraha Al-Ashram was the governor of Yemen on behalf of the king of Ethiopia. He (Abrahah) thought to build a house (like the Kabah at Makkah) in Sana (the capital of Yemen) and call the Arabs to perform the pilgrimage there in Sana instead of the Kabah in Makkah, with the intention of diverting the trade and benefits from Makkah to Yemen. He presented his idea to the king of Ethiopia who agreed to it. So the house (church) was built and he named it Al-Qullais; there was no church of its like at that time. Then a man from the Quraish tribe of Makkah came there and was infuriated by it, so he relieved his nature (stools and urine) in it, soiled its walls and went away. When Abrahah Al-Ashram saw that, he could not control his anger and raised an army to invade Makkah and demolish the Kabah. He had in that army thirteen elephants and amongst them was an elephant called Mahmud which was the biggest of them. So that army proceeded and none amongst the Arab tribes that faced them (fought against them) but was killed and defeated, till it approached near Makkah. Then there took place negotiations between Abrahah Al-Ashram and the chief of Makkah (Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim, the grandfather of the Prophet), and it was concluded that Abrahah would restore the camels of Abdul Muttalib which he had taken away, and then he (Abrahah) would decide himself as regards the Kabah. Abdul Muttalib ordered the men of Makkah to evacuate the city and go to the top of the mountains along with their wives and children in case some harm should come to them from the invading oppressors. Then that army moved towards Makkah till they reached valley Muhassir. While the army was marching towards Makkah, in the middle of the valley, suddenly it was overtaken by flocks of birds, flocks after flocks, air-raiding that army with small stones slightly bigger than a lentil seed. There never fell a stone on a soldier except it dissolved his flesh and burst it into pieces. So they perished with a total destruction. Abrahah Al-Ashram fled away while his flesh was bursting into pieces till he died on the way (back to Yemen). Such was the victory bestowed by Allah, (the All-Majestic, All-Powerful) to the people of Makkah and such was the protection provided by Him for His House (Kabah in Makkah).

Salar de Uyuni : The Largest Natural Mirror

this is an example of recount text of mine

Salar de Uyuni : The Largest Natural Mirror

After coming back from hiking, I start to be intrested about travelling. I read books about travelling. I browse about travelling on internet. I am obsessed about travelling now. Someday, when I was browsing about travelling, my eyes pointed at a picture of landmark that looked like a mirror, a giant natural mirror. The name of the  place is Salar de Uyuni.
Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potosí and Oruro departments in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes and is at an elevation of 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above mean sea level. It was created by prehistoric lake dried up. It is part of the Altiplano of Bolivia in South America. The Altiplano is a high plateau, which was formed during uplift of the Andes mountains. The plateau includes fresh and saltwater lakes as well as salt flats and is surrounded by mountains with no drainage outlets.
When it dried up, it left a couple of seasonal puddles and several salt pans. Bright salt delicately colored mineral lakes in the Andean mountain. The view which full of white salt makes you feel in a dreamland. In other way, when it rains, the salty crust becomes a giant mirror. It is caused by water that cover the surface. The view is really amazing. It looks like you can walk on the sky. The reflection from the water makes you can touch the sky and stand on the sky. The beauty of this vast salt desert makes it one of South America's greatest inspiring spectacles.

There is no word to explain how beautiful it is. It has sprouted up my desire to go there. Maybe I will regret if I couldn’t go there once in all time of my live. I thanks to God that has created a beautiful place like that.
